The Victorian government has announced rebates for solar batteries in the state.
\nFrom 1st July 2019, rebates for up to half the value of a battery storage unit installation will be available under the Solar Homes program, for 10,000 households that already have solar panels installed.<\/p>\n

Solar batteries<\/a> are a great addition to those already using solar panels Vic<\/a>, as they save the extra energy produced for later use, helping you make the most out of your solar system<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Those who are eligible for the solar battery rebate will be able to save up to $4,838 on this installation.<\/p>\n

Depending on the time of day power is typically used in a home, households with an average 10kWh battery can save hundreds of dollars more on their electricity bills, on top of the savings they already enjoy with solar panels.<\/p>\n

So who\u2019s eligible for these rebates? Victorians who live in their own home valued at up to $3 million, with a household income of up to $180,000.<\/p>\n

It is important to note, however, that homeowners will only be eligible for ONE rebate within the Solar Homes program, which means the battery rebate will only be available to those who have not claimed the $2,225 solar panel rebate.<\/p>\n

More information on the batteries program is expected to be released by Solar Victoria<\/a> in the coming months.<\/p>\n
