Latest Press report says that the Leader of the Federal Labor Party committed to a national target of at least 50% renewables by 2030.<\/p>\n
This will create more solar jobs, more solar business and effective action on climate change. This is a great achievement for the solar industry, and the Australian Solar Council strongly welcomes this announcement.<\/p>\n
Since November last year the Solar Council has been liaising for a policy commitment of at least 50% renewables by 2030, from all political parties, as a core part of its hugely successful Save Solar campaign. The Labor have listened and acted.<\/p>\n
Australian Solar Council achieved this fantastic outcome with the support and without the tireless work of a broad spectrum of groups, from the solar industry, the Labor Environment Action Network, trade unions, environment and community groups, all acting with a common goal.<\/p>\n
